Fuel
generally is more expensive away from the metro area so we suggest filling up
before leaving, possibly taking a jerry can or two. It is courteous to have full
tanks prior to arriving at the start of a trip so that others are not
inconvenienced while you fill up.
We will allow for enough fuel stops on the way but if you are running a bit low, please let the organisers know well in advance.
We
do not provide any food or drink. It is entirely up to you as to what you do.
Remember though that shops are generally not available.
Most day trips begin after breakfast, so you'll need to allow for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea as well as any snacks and drinks in between. If you want to take along a portable gas bbq or similar for lunch we will allow enough time for this.
We usually try to organise pizzas at someone's house to finish off the day together.
Most overnight trips are similar to the day trips but you'll need to allow for another couple of meals.
This really depends ion the weather and the time of the year but you should allow for changing conditions since many trips will go from early to late and may be inland or near the beach. It doesn't cost much to take a bit extra!
